Have you ever wondered if you could find a better place to read? Do you feel trapped reading in a crowded place? Or just don't feel motivated enough when you are surrounded by people doing anything but reading?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, scroll down to find 3 of my favourite reading spots you'll be sure to love too!

The Library

Sometimes, it can be distracting at home. Yes. With your laundry sitting in the corner, and the TV in front of you, it can be better to read outside. One of the best places I can recommend is a library. Why? Because libraries are made for it! Not only can you see other people working/reading, but you can also sit comfortably without any reason to be distracted. Many people only visit the library to borrow/return books or study//work, but it can also be the best spot for reading. I like to spend about 10 minutes in the library checking out books I want to read when I’m in a hurry. But when I have a couple of hours. I head out to my local library and read. Anytime I feel like taking a stretch, I just get up and browse more books. One thing you need to make sure of is to not take a book you just want to get done with. With all the other books surrounding you, you will quickly lose motivation and will be compelled to leave or do something else.

The bed

Where do you feel the most comfortable, protected, and relaxed? For many people, the answer is their bed. When you are in bed, at night, you feel relaxed because you are about to wipe off the exhaustion of the day by sleeping. This is why it is recommended to not work from your bed. Because you will feel too cozy. But when you read a book, you want to feel cozy, so why not your bed? When I read a book, I want to be as comfortable as possible. I usually have a bottle of water next to me so that I don’t have to walk around and pause my reading.

In the kitchen

Reading in the kitchen is a great way to pass the time while you are waiting for that cake to be ready or the dough to rise. Additionally, if you are habitual to grab unnecessary snacks while cooking, reading can keep you busy. I do not recommend reading while cooking something that needs most of your attention, like frying something, it can just be a great way to pass the time while waiting. Finally, some people simply find that the kitchen is a cozy, comforting space that makes them feel more relaxed and focused. Whatever your reasons, reading in the kitchen can be a delightful and productive way to spend your time.

Despite all this, it is important to remember that what is comfortable for me might not be for you. So experiment around and try to find what works for you.

See you next Wednesday!!
